Strange Reflection
March 3, 2021
As the morning sun illuminates the silent lake, I see my strange reflection in between the slow surface ripples. I am warm, and the water is cold. I walk a little closer. My feet leave the bank and begin to feel a sharp reminder of who is in charge. It is winter.
Now the water completely surrounds me up to my neck. The only thing to do is to become still like the water. I’m returning to where I came from.
